RESOLUTION 1996- 01

TOWN OF GRANT
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA

A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PETTY CASH FUND FOR USE BY THE TOWN CLERK

WHEREAS, the Town of Grant has the authority granted to it, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 366.  Specifically the 1995
Legislature approved a new provision allowing the Township to established an "imprest fund."  (See M.S. §366.01, Subd. 12); and,

WHEREAS, an "imprest fund" is essentially a "petty cash fund."  It is the opinion of the Town Board of Supervisors that a petty cash
fund would be useful to the day-to-day operations of Township business.

NOW THEREFORE, based upon thee foregoing, the following Resolution was duly made, seconded and approved:

1.  That the Town Clerk is hereby authorized to establish a petty cash fund (imprest fund) within the meaning of Minnesota Statutes
§366.01.  Said fund shall not exceed the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) unless a higher amount is specifically authorized
by the Town Board.

WHEREUPON, a vote being taken upon the motion, the following members voted in favor:  Chairman Erichson and Member
Welander.
The following voted against: None.

WHEREUPON, said motion was declared duly passed this 6th day of February, 1996.
