RESOLUTION 1996- 12
 
TOWN OF GRANT
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Richard J. Rossbach is the owner of a parcel of land located at 1120 Lockridge Court North, Stillwater,
Minnesota 55082, and legally described as:
 
                      SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT A"
 
and,
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Rossbach has applied to the Township for a variance to build a 700 square foot detached garage closer to the
front lot line than the principal building; and,
 
WHEREAS, following a public hearing on the application, the Grant Township Planning Commission has recommended granting
the variance; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Grant finds that a variance is appropriate because there is a hardship on the subject
property due to the limited buildable area on the lot where an accessory building could be located.  Specifically, the area proposed
for construction of the accessory building is the best location on the parcel to build the structure.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Supervisors of the Town of Grant as follows:
 
1.  The Applicant is granted a variance so as to allow him to construct an accessory building closer to the front lot line than the
principal building.  Said variance is granted subject to the following conditions:
 
                  a.                   The new garage shall be built in such a fashion and in such a style as compliments the house.
                        specifically1 it shall be built in the "carriage house11 style, according to the plans presented to
                        the Planning Commission by Mr. Rossbach.
                  b.
Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Grant this 3rd day of July, 1996.

That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter (SW1/4 of
SE1/4) of Section 1, Township 30 North, Range 21 West, Washington
County, Minnesota, described as follows:
 
       Commencing at the southeast corner of Section 1; thence West 0 degrees 00’, assumed bearing, along the south line of
       Section 1, a distance of 1332 feet; thence North 0degrees 00’; a distance of 280 feet; thence West 0 degrees 00’; a
       distance of 329 feet; thence N 0 degrees 00’; a distance of 306 feet; thence West 0 degrees 00’; a distance of 600 feet to
       the point of beginning; thence continuing West 0 degrees 00’; a distance of 340 feet, more or less, to the west line of the
       SW ¼ - SE 1/4 of Section 1; thence northerly, along said West line, a distance of 726 feet, more or less, to the northwest
       corner of the SW ¼ - SE ¼  of Section 1; thence easterly, along the north line of the SW1/4-SE 1/4, a distance of 338
