A RESOLUTION SETTING AND AUTHORIZING FEES FOR FALSE ALARM RESPONSES PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 79 OF THE CITY OF GRANT.

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRANT, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, the Grant City Council has adopted an Ordinance to regulate alarm and communication systems; and,

WHEREAS, the City wishes to minimize the number of responses to false alarms; and,

WHEREAS, said Ordinance authorizes the City, by Resolution, to set fees related to false alarms and a cost to be assessed if dishonored checks are presented to the City of Grant for payment of the fees for false alarms.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Grant, Washington County, Minnesota, that the following fees are hereby established:

Commercial Residential

False Fire Alarms

(per calendar year)

Alarms 1 - 3 No charge No charge

Alarms 4+ Actual cost of response.

Minimum Charge: $150.00.

Maximum Charge: $400.00.

Other False Alarms

(per calendar year)

Alarms 1 - 3 No charge No charge

Alarms 4 - 7 $ 60.00 each $50.00 each

Alarms 8+ $100.00 each $75.00 each

Dishonored Check Fee - $25.00 per check
